Where every number on this site comes from, how often it changes, and what we do when a source disagrees or goes quiet.
The universes
This site tracks two closed sets, not "all memecoins". Membership is not our opinion — it follows CoinGecko's own category classification, so inclusion is a sourced fact rather than an editorial judgement we would have to defend:
- Base — CoinGecko's
base-meme-coinscategory. 99 tokens in this snapshot. - Robinhood — CoinGecko's
robinhood-chain-memecategory. 100 tokens in this snapshot.
Note carefully what "Robinhood" means here: these are memecoins issued on Robinhood Chain, Robinhood's own layer-2 network. That is not the same thing as the list of coins tradeable in the Robinhood brokerage app, and we do not claim it is.

Rules we hold ourselves to
- A missing number is shown as a dash. Never zero, never an estimate, never a placeholder. If a source returns nothing, the cell says nothing.
- Every figure carries the time it was captured. Stale data is allowed on this site; undated data is not.
- Sources are never averaged. For on-chain tokens we show the on-chain figure and name it. Blending two disagreeing sources produces a number that exists nowhere.
- Safety scores need at least four resolved checks. Below that, no score is shown.
- Trending has a liquidity floor of $25,000, so a big percentage move on an empty pool cannot reach the top of a page.
- The rendering step never touches the network. If data collection fails, the site rebuilds from the last good snapshot and shows its real age, rather than shipping a gap-filled page.
What we do not do
No price predictions. No buy or sell calls. No paid listings, and no way to pay to be added, moved up, or scored differently. If that ever changes it will be disclosed on this page before it ships.
